Grants

The MetaCancer Foundation is not accepting grant proposals at this time. In the past, we have provided funding for initiatives that address the psychosocial needs of metastatic cancer survivors and their caregivers, primarily by providing content and resources through this website. We have made various kinds of grants to organizations such as those listed below.

University of Kansas Breast Cancer Survivorship Center

The Elizabeth Prostic Post-Doctoral Fellowship focused the psychosocial care of patients and families at metastatic and other stages of cancer

Turning Point: The Center for Hope and Healing

This partnership created and implemented innovative new initiatives that address the unique psychosocial issues related to living with metastatic cancers. The initial grant provided funding for support groups, workshops, and art therapy at Turning Point, while also leading to the development of new content for www.metacancer.org. The MetaCancer Foundation has also continued to fund a metastatic cancer support group at Turning Point.

University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing

The Elizabeth Anne Prostic Memorial Research Grant provided funding for a graduate student researching psychosocial issues related to living with metastatic cancers.

Truman Medical Center

MetaCancer funds provided for a resource room with audio/visual equipment, a computer workstation, and relevant resources for underprivileged cancer patients and caregivers at the Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO.

The Wellness Community

MetaCancer funds provided for an online support group through The Virtual Wellness Community for metastatic cancer patients.

Please consider making a donation to enable MetaCancer to continue funding these and other grants.
